A “NEW” anything can bring excitement, joy, hope, anxiety, fear… The essence of the word “NEW” means a change is or will happen. Don’t let this year come and just change dates for you, YOU be the intentional change in your life that affects others lives as well. There are many things I want to begin this year.. getting healthy, getting organized, being intentional with my family and friends… But there is one thing I believe trumps it all.
As we start this NEW year considering all the NEW things we want to do, I would suggest making this your top priority,
Building and investing in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
It won’t happen with out intentionality and it won’t just happen without being a priority. I am not talking about adding ‘going to church’ or ‘doing a bible study’ as your news year resolution. I am talking about actively seeking to develop and deepen YOUR relationship with Jesus. If building YOUR relationship with Him is your priority then the todo’s will happen. It’s a heart matter, It’s always a heart matter with Jesus, not a todo list. Seeking Him as your top priority will overflow into a desire to be in His Word, to have fellowship with other Christian women, to serve, to spend time in prayer and most importantly being still and quiet just to hear His voice.
So this year, make Him a priority, it will change your life one choice at a time!
