Merry Christmas,
2023 has now come and gone, and for some of us, that brings anticipation and excitement of what’s to come. We may have trips planned, new jobs, new goals, and new friendships, and we welcome the arrival of the new season. For others, the end of the year may bring high anxiety and dread. We may not know what tomorrow holds; we may be trying to find our purpose in the current roles or new season, or we may be grieving a loss and forced to find a new normal, which was not in our plans.
At Choosing Him, we understand all the above, as we have all walked out various seasons at various times. The very name of our ministry comes from those seasons where we had to choose: “Will we try to do it on our own, or will we choose to trust God with the past, present, and future of our lives?” Romans 8:28 tells us that God will work everything out for our good and His glory, and this requires us to surrender our will to His, to lean in and stick close in the good times and hard times. It may mean reworking our definition of good to reflect God’s desire and purpose and calling on our life for His kingdom work. We have a choice, and we pray wherever you are, you will CHOOSE HIM.
Ecclesiastes 4:9,10 says, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” If you find yourself in a season where you need someone to “help you up,” we encourage you to check out our new Biblical Counseling and Training Center opening on January 9th. This Counseling Center is a safe place for you to process your struggles, hurt, and pain in the context of God’s Truth. Our team desires to support, understand, and love you as we all learn how to Choose Him through the circumstances of our lives. We don’t have all the answers, but we know the One who does, and it would be our honor to walk beside you on your journey as you seek to find God in the midst of it.
You can find further information and appointment details on our website at https://choosinghimministries.org.
We pray you find joy this season because He is in the joy!
Merry Christmas,
