You may be able to rattle off the blessings of this year or you may be feeling the load of loss upon your shoulders. Regardless, today is a day set aside by Americans to give thanks, but God tells us to give thanks always. He tells us to rejoice and then tells us again to rejoice. Why? because there is always more to the story than we know, and always a bigger picture than we can see. We serve a mighty good God. He loves us. He sent His Son to die for us so that we can be in a relationship with Him. He is the One who brings peace and comfort and joy.
So today, give thanks for who His is. Our focus and filter will determine our response to our circumstances. Be thankful!
